My Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is based on the fact that I am well aware that I am not a “born teacher”, yet a “born learner” and along the way I learned how to teach.

My teaching style and techniques are evolving daily knowing that one best way does not exist, and continuous improvement should be assured through seeking professional development programs, embracing feedback from my peers, and most importantly listening to learners in my class.

To me, a large part of teaching is figuring out what knowledge the learners already have, and find a way to tap into that knowledge and build upon it every day. To do so, I engage them in activities and discussions, and I rely on technology as an effective tool to address different learning styles, to create a productive learning environment, and to increase learning motivation.

Being a constant learner myself, one of my ultimate objectives in teaching is to facilitate learning by helping the learners to gain the necessary skills to take control of and become active participants in their own learning.
